Old Man's War by John Scalzi

This was our first book. Old Man's War is a favorite of mine for introducing people to the work of John Scalzi. He started out with Agent to the Stars and has only gotten better with each book. This one begins a series that seemed to have concluded after three books. But then he published Jane's Diary, then the third book from another point of view, then another one and one is due to come out in August. But they are so good! I think this is the only book I've bought copies of just to give to people.

So I really like it. So very Helinein-like. Great story, interesting ideas, a compelling plot and it's still character drivin. It's like he's channeling the Grand Master. Thank you Mr. Scalzi for deciding that writing Science Fiction was your calling.
